For what they’re designed to do, yes: randomized trials show oral nicotinamide riboside reliably raises blood NAD+ levels. Whether that changes how you feel or function is still being studied, with mixed results so far. We don’t claim more than that.
In human clinical trials of NR at 500–2,000 mg per day, side effects were similar to placebo.[2] The most commonly reported were mild, such as nausea or bloating. The flushing often seen with niacin is uncommon with NR. If any symptoms persist, stop taking it and talk to your physician.
NR has an established safety profile in human trials and is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) as a food ingredient in the US. That said, Lujevit is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and anyone with a medical condition or on medication should check with a physician first.
Both are NAD+ precursors related to vitamin B3. NR has the longer human research record; recent comparisons suggest they perform similarly.[11] Lujevit uses NR chloride, the form used in most clinical trials.
These are different ways of delivering NAD+ itself. Oral NAD+ is poorly absorbed intact, and IV requires a clinic and has limited evidence for healthy adults. Precursors like NR are the best-studied oral route.
In trials, blood NAD+ metabolites rose within one to two weeks and stayed elevated with daily use.[1] That's a lab measurement, not a feeling.
No. NAD+ is a coenzyme your body produces, mainly from forms of vitamin B3 such as niacin, nicotinamide, and nicotinamide riboside (NR). NMN is a closely related precursor.
Not directly. NAD+ is poorly absorbed when swallowed, but food provides the building blocks your body uses to make it, such as vitamin B3 and tryptophan. NR occurs naturally in milk, but only in trace amounts.
No evidence suggests NR works differently by sex. What matters is the formula and whether it fits your routine. Use the six-point checklist above.
It’s within the range used in clinical trials (500–1,000 mg/day) and the lowest studied dose shown to reliably raise NAD+.
Quercetin bound to sunflower phospholipids, so it’s absorbed far better than plain quercetin. Lujevit uses 250 mg.
Spermidine is associated with autophagy, the cell’s recycling process. At dietary-range doses like the 10 mg in Lujevit, human studies report good tolerability. Most lifespan evidence is in animals; we include it for its role in autophagy.
They’re related antioxidants. Resveratrol is the most studied; pterostilbene is much better absorbed. Together, you get the research behind one and the other's better absorption.
Ubiquinone, 100 mg per serving, as listed on the Certificate of Analysis.
Yes, it’s vegan: hypromellose capsule, no animal ingredients, non-GMO. No allergens are declared on the label.
No. Lujevit contains no caffeine or stimulants.
Morning, with your first meal. There’s no strong evidence for a specific time, but taking it with food helps with the fat-soluble CoQ10, and mornings are easier to keep consistent. That’s the Lujevit protocol: 2 capsules with breakfast.
You can, but we recommend taking it with food for better CoQ10 absorption and comfort.
Yes. No need to skip your morning coffee.
Generally, yes. Lujevit replaces NR, CoQ10, resveratrol, pterostilbene, quercetin, and spermidine products, not your multivitamin, vitamin D, magnesium, or omega-3. If you take medication, check with your physician.
Pregnant or nursing women; anyone under 18; and, without a physician’s OK, anyone with a medical condition or on prescription medication.
Take it the next morning. Don’t double up.
Studies show NAD+ levels rising within one to two weeks of taking NR daily.[1] What you notice, and when, varies from person to person. Give it the full 30 days.
No. The same guidance applies at any adult age. If you take any medication, talk to your physician first.
In the USA, in a GMP-certified, FDA-registered facility in Florida. (Dietary supplements are not approved by the FDA; registration means the facility is subject to FDA inspection.)
Yes. Independent labs test every batch for potency and heavy metals. Download the Certificate of Analysis
